The River Road Museum - Shell Norco presents the story of the lower Mississippi delta region's transition from an ecomony of indigo, sugar and cypress to home of some of the worl'ds most technologically advanced industries. While the products may have changed, the lower Mississippi River is still a port to the world for grain harvested in America's heartland, building materials such as cement, locally refined molasses, and petrochemical products from jet fuel to epox resins.

The River Road Museum - Shell Norco is open from 1:00pm until 5:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. And are also available by appointment by calling 504-465-6333. Located at 15536 River Road Norco, LA 70079

Directions from New Orleans: I-10 northbound, I-310 westbound, River Road northbound to the town of Norco, 1/2 mile before the Bonnet Carre Spillway.

	New Orleans Airport to Norco
	Exit from rental car companies onto US-61 North to Baton Rouge (Airline Hwy). Stay on US-61 passing under I-310. From the I-310 underpass, travel approximately 6 miles and turn left at the 4^th light (Apple Street). This will be on the Baton Rouge side of the refinery, just after passing by. Turn Left onto Apple Street approximately 1.5 miles until it dead ends. Turn left onto River Road, proceed approx. ½ mile. The main entrance is on the left.

	Traveling East on I-10, exit right, the 2nd La Place exit, "US-51 exit". Turn Right onto US-51 South for approximately 2 miles. US-51 will dead end into US-61 (Airline Hwy). Turn Left onto US-61 and drive approximately 6 miles proceeding to the 4^th traffic light after tuning onto US-61. This light is just over the "Spillway ". Turn Right onto Apple Street approximately 1.5 miles until it dead ends. Turn left onto River Road, proceed approx. ½ mile. The main entrance is on the left.
