Pump Station Groundbreaking Ceremony

The St. Charles Parish President’s office would like to invite you to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station, also known as the Norco Pump Station, for the East Bank Hurricane Protection Levee. The Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station project is a multi-million dollar joint venture between Shell Chemical, Motiva Norco Refining and St. Charles Parish. The station is located in Norco and will help to protect the town and the industrial facilities from possible storm surges from Lake Pontchartrain.

This will be the first of five pump stations needed in the hurricane protection levee to begin construction.

On hand for the groundbreaking ceremony will be:
Albert Laque – St. Charles Parish President
Wayne Pearce – Shell Chemical Norco
Armand Abay – Motiva Norco Refining
**Steve, please list the elected officials who are planning to participate**

The Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station Groundbreaking Ceremony is set for Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at 1:00 p.m.  It will take place at the Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station, which is located just off the spillway levee heading towards Lake Pontchartrain.

Food and drinks will be provided.
